Week 5 Feb 24-28
We are now halfway through the 3rd quarter. Wow, how time flies.
Computers:
Cont. with video. At this point, I hope each student has an intro for the video. We have worked on a Google fly-in recording the fly-in with Quicktime screen capture software. We also filmed an earth spin using the preloaded images and recorded a spin from somewhere on earth to Upland, CA. We recorded ourselves walking backward from inside the school to the front of the school. We took photo's last week around campus.
OA's this week.
Monday: If given a million dollars what would you do?
Tuesday: None class out with Cabrillo Elem
Wednesday: Fav Artist
Thurs: Fav Book
Fri
Garden:
This week
1. Work on completing the placement of the bird netting. The chickens are really getting into the center raised garden and scratching it up.
2. Prepare for the visit of 75 2nd graders on Tuesday the 25th from Cabrillo Elem. The kids will be here from 10:00 to 11:00.
3. Begin planting of vegetables when bird netting installed.
Construction:
This Week:
1. Place a 2" x 6" fascia board around the top of the tiny home wall. This will help shed water away from the vertical walls.
2. I had volunteers who indicated they were willing to help with the second graders on Tuesday.
3. Place the cap sheet on the roof. This is part of the two-ply system we will be placing on the roof of the tiny home.
4. Install drip edge
5. Installation of 2nd ply of roofing if we complete install of fascia/first ply/ and drip edge.
